Owner Instructor

Amber Priestley, LMFT

  • B.A. Psychology & Liberal Arts Music
    M.A. Marriage & Family Therapy
    Certificate in Holistic Health
Certified Pole Fitness Instructor with Xpert Fitness

  • Amber has worked in the mental health field for over 15 years. She owns her own practice Skill Spark Therapy where she provides clinical mental health services.

With more experience and somatic training, Amber discovered the immense benefits of alternative fitness on mental & physical health & well-being.

After falling in love with alternative fitness & pole/aerial training she trained and certified as an instructor.

Amber has been teaching, coaching and traveling with pole/aerial competitors for the past five years.

She’s performed on many stages, and medaled at several pole sport competitions.

Amber loves sharing the love of movement with others.

She has special interest in helping hypermobile and neurodivergent humans find safe and enjoyable wellness routines.

Each year she travels with a small group of students to a regional or national pole competition or showcase.

  • We know movement is medicine for the mind & body. We also know having a supportive community boosts success & well-being.

Developing & maintaining physical + mental well-being is hard in the modern day world.

I aim to create a space that is welcoming, fun, and supportive.

I’ve been part of many fitness spaces over my lifetime and always desired more community, learning, and connection.

I hold a unique skill set as a licensed clinician and a fitness leader in a pole/aerial community.

I’ve been privately coaching and training students for several years, and its incredibly rewarding to reflect on their progress.

I finally decided it was time to cultivate something bigger!

  • Pole/aerial & dance is often overlooked when it can be a very healthy or fun workout that can be appealing to a wide audience. It just so happens to also have styles or uses that are not.

In reality, pole/aerial is a growing sport that builds confidence, physical strength, helps regulate the nervous system, improves self-esteem, and can be adapted for multiple purposes.

At Embodi, classes are designed for a variety of levels, styles, and preferences. Classes will include training in sport/competitive program as well as fun adult recreational dance classes.

Embodi Studio fully respects the roots of pole dance and fight stigma and discrimination.
